		<description>I&#039;m sorry the tour is ending, too. My thanks to you and all the other bloggers who contributed -- it was a lot of fun, and didn&#039;t involve squishing my running shoes into a carry-on bag or starving on the plane because I forgot to pack a lunch, again. I can answer at least a few of your questions now, in the world&#039;s most mini interview:

I&#039;m not a professor. I was in a PhD program in English Lit, but I wrote Darkwood instead of my dissertation and they don&#039;t give out degrees for that. 

I do teach creative writing classes at Stanford through their Continuing Studies Program. The students are terrific. 

I also want to say how sorry I am about your dad. My dad died last year, and I know how strange and sad and huge that loss is.
