First things, first. I have no excuse, Noel warned me that the email Feedburner sent to subscribers last Friday had a bad link in it. I have no idea why I didn’t think it was necessary to send out a follow-up email, warning you to get your links off the site and not out of the email. I guess that would have been too easy.
So several of you diligently linked away, thinking you were linking to Savvy, while unbeknownst to you, anyone clicking on your link was whisked away to Amazon to visit The Year the Swallows Came Early. Heh heh. Yes, I loved that book, but I promise this was not a ploy to gain visibility for Swallows at your expense.
I’m sorry.
Now on to the Savvy round-up for the day:
- Booking Mama loved the book and loved the messages.
- April, at Cafe of Dreams, has a wonderful review and I really liked the short video interview she posted.
- Bellezza, the artistic one, called attention to Ploppy, Ingrid Law’s old home, which has writing on the walls.
- Becky, has a fun interview at Becky’s Book Reviews. I like the answer to the last question.
- I also loved Natasha’s interview at Maws Books.
- Marya, at Through the Looking Glass, posted an interview that focused on savvies. I enjoyed it a lot.
- Over at Never Jam Today, Noel, got even more info out of Ingrid. One of her answers made me laugh out loud.
- Stephanie at Olive Tree gave her review and mentioned a slang word in the book she didn’t like. What about you all? Did you notice the word? Do you use the word? Do you think it’s good for parents to shield children from such words?
- And over in the 160 Acrewoods we have some serious Savvy-love happening.
- And SJ Kessel at Through a Child’s Eyes has put up a review with some suggested activities and some favorite quotes.
- Becky, at A Christian Worldview of Fiction, says she didn’t like Mibs in the beginning but grew to like her. She tells why. What do you all think?
- And at All About Children’s Books, I posted my interview with Ms. Law today. I really enjoyed getting to know a bit more about her. She feels like a kindred spirit.
