You may want to tell your readers about Abunga.com’s new Kid’s Choice Award. From now until September 1, children can log on with their parents to vote for their favorite summer reading book.
Abunga calls itself a family friendly bookstore, or something like that. I’m not sure what that means exactly because I don’t have time to check it out right now. But you might give them a look. Check out the blog here. It looks interesting. I don’t think they are shooting for religious books so much as saying they sell stuff that is not x-rated. But don’t hold me to that. I just gave them a cursory look.
Why am I so pressed for time?
I’m glad you asked.
I will be out of the country for a couple of weeks with no Internet access. I am going to Bolivia and there is satellite Internet down there but I won’t have my computer because we’ve been told it wouldn’t be wise to take it down there where it would likely get lost or stolen. Even if I did bring it, I’d have no time to use it.
So it stays home. And I’m here desperately trying to get everything sewn up before I go. The house looks like a cyclone hit it, the dogs have to be farmed out, I still have do last-minute shopping, and I have to get to the bank. And–ACK I have to register the cars! I just remembered!
OK I gotta go. I’m outa here. Hasta la vista, baby.
